Archive Folder under notes 8.5.1

So many things to do and so few time....

Last time i blogged was about a crash problem on a domino server, and the problem is still the same.

So now, i will ask some help about a little detail:

i've always used the Archive Folder under lotus notes.

If you use the folder settings and if you create a folder wich name is "Archive", you can just put your mails in this folder and they will automaticaly be copied in your archive database. A magic Folder, or sort of.

but since 8.5.1, i've not used it and today, i try it again.

And now, the magic folder "Archive" does not work anymore, this is just a folder like other.

So what could happened ? Is 8.5.1 disabling this feature, or is this just a bug ?

1 - I saw some issues with it in the 8.5.1 beta program, but I believe they're sorted. I just tried with my "Archive" folder and am prompted with the question of whether I want to archive the selected documents. Do you see this question at all now?

No, this message does not show anymore.

I got two archive settings, so i try by disabling one of them but without success.

I tried to delete the folder then recreate it nothing more.

maybe a notes reboot ?

3 - So, i tried to delete the folder, restart notes and recreate the folder, but nothing change.

This Archive Folder is not working anymore, and i do not know why.

4 - Hi Benoit, I just saw your blog, thanks for raising this. As you said myself have the same question. I have installed 8.5 FP1, still the same issue. But I don't see such issue with client package which has all clients installation feature.

5 - No, sorry, no success with what i tried.
I even tried to delete archive settings and recreate a new archive.
Maybe the only solution is to do a clean install with a fresh mailbox.

6 - I've just tested on a fresh new lotus notes 8.5.1 +fp3 installation and the result is the same...

The magic Folder "Archive" does not work anymore at all....
